| We hope you find our website helpful and informative, if not please let us know. We strive to breed to the AKC standard, focusing on health, personality, conformation, and intelligence. We only breed A.K.C. Chihuahuas, both long and smooth coat varieties. Our puppies come from champion show lines with sound temperaments and great personalities. We are a small home breeder, our puppies are born and raised as part of our family in our smoke free house where they become familiar with all the sounds, smells and activities found in a household. They are fed excellent food, given the best care, and are highly socialized and loved for the best start possible. |

- They need allot of human contact. Petting, touching and lots of attention. If he doesn't
get this, he will use tricks until he does. - Chihuahuas make good watch dogs. They are fiercely loyal to their masters and wary of
any strangers or new guests introduced into the household, which the Chihuahua
considers his own. - Chihuahuas make excellent companions and are real lap dogs, they are alert, observant
and love to interact with their masters. - Chihuahuas don't know that they are small. They can be rather bold with other dogs
larger than themselves. - Chihuahuas are one of the few breeds that can come in any color, there is no mis-marking
in color. - They do not like the cold and when they are outside in cold, wet weather, they
appreciate a little doggy sweater to keep them warm. - Chihuahuas make ideal apartment or indoor pets. Because they require very little room to
exercise. - Chihuahuas are ideal for single people, the elderly, handicapped and shut-ins. They keep
you company for hours by lying on your lap or beside you in bed and treat you like
royalty. No one with a Chihuahua in their household will ever be truly alone!
| We reserve the right to refuse to sell one of our puppies to anyone! We DO NOT sell to pet shops, large kennel breeders, puppy brokers or puppy mills. Please, be ready and willing to prove who you are and where you live. California Code SB 914 ~ Effective Jan. 1,2006, makes it a crime to sell and transfer a dog less than 8 weeks of age to a purchaser unless there is written authorization from a veterinarian. We don't feel it is safe for the pups to leave until they are over 8 to 12 weeks old. Depending on size, some larger puppies can go to new homes sooner then smaller ones. If you are interested in one of our puppies please feel free to contact us via email or phone. We welcome visits from all interested parties. | We won't always have puppies available, we only breed a few litters a year. Our Chihuahuas are part of the family and should remain treated that way when they leave our home. Our goal is to match each puppy with his/her perfect new family. We ask that every family adopting one of our pups be willing to keep in touch with us and send occasional photo updates. Chihuahuas are just like people and can come in all different kinds of shapes and sizes and can weigh anywhere from 2 to 10+ pounds! However, the American We will have puppies which are larger, 6 pounds and above, better for family's with smaller children, some that are average, 4-5 pounds, and a few that are tiny, less than 4 pounds. We do not used the famous "weight chart" that every one uses, it's never been accurate for our pups. We do not show our dogs, they are spoiled family members with different our pups. Some are closer to the AKC personality traits and different physical characteristics. Some are closer to the AKC standard then others and most of our puppies come with an agreement to spay or neuter. |
| We strive to produce happy, healthy, quality puppies. Our puppies will receive their first puppy vaccinations starting at 8 weeks of age. They will have been de-wormed and will be paper/puddle pad trained before going to their new home. | We have both appledome and deer heads; large and small ears; short & long muzzles; large, dark, luminous eyes and smaller, light hazel (green/brown) eyes; short legs with cobbie bodies and longer legs with lighter framed bodies. We post allot of photos, both of the available puppies and their parents, also past litters of puppies so a comparison of photos can be made and you have a better idea of what the puppies might look like when they are grown. All of our puppies are well bred and well taken care of, so no matter the size or shape, they are healthy, happy babies. Our adoption fees are based on pedigree and how close the dog/puppy is to the AKC standard. We do not charge more for "rare" colors, coat length, "teacups"(runts) or sex, unless it is a breeder with full AKC registration and then females are usually more than males. While we occasionally might offer a puppy that has show potential, our puppies are first and foremost to be loved as pets. |

| TEACUP CHIHUAHUA MYTH There is no such thing as a 'teacup' or 'micro mini' Chihuahua. There is only one breed of Chihuahua and two varieties, longhair and smooth coat. Unfortunately, the additional adjectives used to describe the size difference and physical appearances are many; and have been misused for so long they now seem legitimate. Tea-cup, Pocket Size, Tiny Toy, Miniature or Standard - are just a few of the many tags and labels that have been attached to this breed over the years. The Chihuahua Club of America is concerned that these terms may be used to entice perspective buyers into thinking that puppies described in this way are of greater monetary value. They are not; and the use of these terms is incorrect and misleading. The Chihuahua Club of America does not endorse or condone the use of any of these terms and would caution the perspective puppy buyer not to be misled by them.
